Terms of service

By using Start Your Business (“SYB”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What SYB is

SYB is a software tool that uses AI to help you plan and run a business. The information, financial projections and recommendations it produces are guidance only and do not constitute legal, financial or accounting advice. Consult a licensed professional before making important decisions.

2. Account

To use SYB you must create an account with real data and keep it current. You're responsible for the security of your password and all activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions and billing

SYB offers a free plan with limited features and paid plans (monthly and annual). Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with prior notice.

Monthly billing renews automatically every month.
Annual billing renews automatically every 12 months.
You can cancel renewal anytime from Billing, without having to email anyone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for: you keep the plan until then.
No refunds are issued once use of the platform has been verified during the billed period. Every AI query, report and analysis carries a real cost that has already been spent. The current month is paid in full.
No refunds are due for partial periods already billed, nor for not having used the service: what you buy is availability of the tool.
The free plan exists so you can try before paying, no card required. Revocation terms are detailed at the revocation button.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use SYB to:

Do anything illegal or that infringes third-party rights.
Generate defamatory, fraudulent or deceptive content.
Access other accounts, abuse the API, mass-scrape, or evade usage limits.
Retrain AI models with the outputs without explicit permission.

5. Intellectual property

SYB's software, brand and design are ours. You retain ownership of the data you upload (business idea, plan, finance, customers, etc.) and of reports generated from that data. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the service.

6. Artificial intelligence

SYB uses third-party AI models. Outputs may contain errors, biases or outdated information. Always verify critical data (tax regimes, costs, regulation) against official sources before acting.

7. Availability and changes

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but don't guarantee a specific uptime. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with prior notice when possible.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SYB is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or lost opportunities arising from use of the service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

9. Termination

You can leave whenever you want. Renewal is cancelled from Billing on your own, and to have the account and everything in it deleted, email privacidad@startyourbusiness.app from your account address: we do it within 30 days. Export anything you want to keep from the Database first — deletion cannot be undone.

On our side, we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible.

10. Your customers and the messages you send them

SYB lets you store your customers' data and send them messages (WhatsApp booking confirmations, reminders, emails). Towards those people the responsible party is you: it is on you to have a legitimate reason to store their data and their consent to write to them. We provide the tool and the infrastructure.

SYB may not be used to send unsolicited messages or bulk advertising to people who did not ask for it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Disputes are submitted to the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
