SYB uses cookies and similar technologies so the app works, stays secure, and we can understand how it's used to improve it.

Types of cookies we use

Essential

Required for SYB to work. They keep your session signed in, remember your language, and prevent CSRF attacks. You can't disable them without losing basic functionality.

• sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token: your session.
• NEXT_LOCALE: your preferred language.
• syb.billing.v1, syb.questionnaire.v1: your local progress.

Analytics

We currently use none. SYB has a PostHog integration ready to understand which parts of the app get used most, but it is switched off: it never loads, sets no cookie of its own, and sends no events.

When we do turn it on you will see it first: a notice will appear for you to accept or reject, and only if you accept does it activate. If you reject, the app works the same. An honest note for when that happens: while signed in, those events would be tied to your account, not anonymous.

Marketing

We don't use ad cookies or third-party trackers.

Managing cookies

Essential cookies can't be disabled without breaking sign-in. You can delete them from your browser whenever you want, with the expected effect: you get signed out. Since no optional cookies are active, there is nothing to choose yet.
